Fifth week

Not much to report this week just a couple things my class is great I love them all :) I had an 18th birthday on Friday night and our entire class went it was so amazing we danced and everything. I had such a great time :) there's a couple pictures below :) went out Saturday night to and that was fun to just the people you meet along the way is the best part of exchange. We are shooting a film in English ( the same as the one I mentioned last week ) and we did that on Friday had loads of fun doing that to I am really starting to fit in I think :) there are some pictures below of my school friends and everything else :) my host mum took me to this place called Eataly and it's like a massive gourmet market it was amazing 3 stories high and you can see the people making the products they sell. I seen a bloke making monzarella it's so facinating :) talk to you next week :) missing Australia but loving Milan

One month 😱

Sorry I didn't realise last weeks post did not post .. So like I said I got moved class but now I have friends :) all the friends they are really quite cool and their English is terrible but they laugh about it so much :) they start a phrase in English and immediately switch to Italian it's so great to hear we just laugh :) it's so much better I feel accepted into this class and the teachers actually give me stuff to do like today I did a biology test! It was in Italian but yeah I hope she understands the answers because I didn't understand the questions :) I just smile and wave.

 I went to monza for the rotary orientation on Saturday and it was pretty good just all rules and things again :) but it only took an hour we had photos and lots of things then when out for lunch with the others I rolled down a hill in the middle of the city and some little child wanted to follow me but her nana wouldn't let her :) was so worth it 👌🏼 there is only 7 newbees in my district 5 from staya and 2 from Brazil but Aussies rule !! :) 

Plans for Easter changed as there is no room in the house so I'm not sure what we are doing anymore but it should be good either way :) I miss everyone and I really hope all is well :) happy birthday to my big sister Mikaila  for the 22nd ! I know you missed me there but I just have fun for you :) Milan fashion week is next week so everyone look out :) I'll be on the catwalk ;) just jokes I'm "a little to fat to be a model" as I got told :) ohh I laughed I nearly died :) my host parents and basketball are stil going well and Italian is still horrible but hey I give myself the thumbs up :) my physics teacher is seriously crazy, she looks like joe dirt but that's fine it's her choice. We are shooting a video on Friday something to do with water food and land but it has to be in English .. Guess who is editing the script and playing the protagonist!! If you thought of me you'd be correct! Because I'm apparently good at English now and no one believes that I failed in Aust. It's quite hilarious .. Keep in touch and send me pictures :) Te amo :)

Third week :)

So I been so busy with other things I haven't wrote for last week so here we go :) 

So I got moved class at school because I was getting bullied the people in my class were talking about me in Italian because I don't understand although I am improving I can't completely understand everything they say. So now I have new class and no friends but this class is so much better they are more mature and they are my age unlike the other ones but I think this one is great .. The kids that were bullying me got suspended which is a bit extreme I didn't expect that but yeah it's what happened .. I still have all the crazy teachers as before except maths she's really young it's creepy she's like really young. But I went to Como and it is beautiful it wasn't the best weather so I'll have to go again but I haven't seen the lake yet will do that another time :) I also want to see the museums and go to the cinema and watch a film becuase the theatres are amazing. This Saturday I have a rotary orientation which is a little late because they were supposed to do it first week but nope do it the 4th that's okay :) my English teacher is making trying to have a good time so hard he wants me to do so much extra work and won't leave me alone it's so hard to keep up with everything:) I also made my first pavlova from scratch it was amazing and it turned out crunchy I was so proud of myself and it tasted amazing my host family absolutely loved it they want another one for my Nono:)  I miss everyone and I want to see pictures of home like what's new and I want to see everything I haven't heard a lot so Tell me :) I miss everyone at home and hope all is well

Secondo settimana (second week )

Venice is beautiful a must if you come to Italy. The streets were crowded and there was so much to see :) everyone was in the spirit and it made the whole day a lot more exciting I met some new people and made some more friends 👏🏼👏🏼 we went and seen how they make the masks and they are all gorgeous i loved that carnival trip. My jacket is getting so ful with pins and it's looking great. We almost missed the train on the way home because we lost track of time lucky we got there with 2 minutes to spare .. Exhausting day but well worth the trip you need more then a day to look though . I've started doing more and more tests at school and my English is going down hill I've started mis spelling so many words I'm so glad for auto correct. The 3 girls I met from rotary in the picture below are all from America they are the kindest girls I've met on this trip and have so many stories . The blonde is Austin she's from Texas :) the brown hair is Maddie she's from Oklahoma and the red hair is sequoia she's from California. They are lovely but like in every situation there's always one person who thinks they are better then the rest and what's worst is she's an Aussie 😡 makes me angry!! Grrrrr ahah nah all is good I had the day off because I am starting to get sick but my feeling a bit better. 

I joined a  different team for basketball and they love me even more we train 3 times a week and the team is lovely I'm slowly picking up more and more Italian but it's hard to learn I have tried and tried to understand I got a cd to help .. I have lotsa friends at school and i don't have to go to school on Thursday and Friday it's amazing !! My school has planned skiing in March so I get to go to ski soon :) and Scotland for Easter which will be great to :) I'll keep in touch and keep me up to date on everything at home.

Week one

Buongiorno 

Hope all is well at home. It has been a busy week I started school on Thursday and had no idea what I was doing. The people there are really friendly but they all smoke it's horrible and all my teachers are crazy not one of them is sane 👎🏻 I still can't understand a word anyone is saying but the people at school try and translate for me but otherwise Google translate has been my favourite thing to use. This city is massive and so pretty there's lots to go and do but a lot of it is quite costly. There is a statue that's is pointing the finger at the city im not sure why but there's a picture below (I cried I laughed so much). These people eat shitloads like too much idk how they are skinny 😭 I started playing basketball with a team,I went to one training, the coach is continuously texting to see when I can go to training again because they train 4 times a week but I'm not sure I like it because there training is so impractical for the game and it's hard because idk what he's telling me to do ( I think he just likes me for my height) but it keeps me busy and hopefully some of the weight off. 

My host parents are good they don't expect me to do anything around the house but they don't like it when I'm in the house they always telling me to go and find some friends to hang out with and its a bit hard because I only been here a week ( I don't have friends) I do Italian lessons twice a week with some lady and I suck at it aparently but that's okay I might get better I might not .. The language is shit but I love the English subject at school we have to do a project and everyone wants me to work with them. Next weekend I'm off with rotary to the Venice carnival which should be good I recon. The days keep getting shorter and it's getting colder  everyday I had to buy some new jumpers and jackets. And absolutely no one in this city should have there licence!! NOBODY!!!!  I do really miss everyone but I'll survive :) I'll keep in touch. Here's some pictures for you all

First week

The flight to Italy was long but enjoyable the other exchangees and myself all flew as a group to Doha. From Doha we all descended into the gates that lead to our country I flew with 2 other exchange students Tom and Lillian that are also doing exchange in Italy. We were seated together once again and continued our journey :) I've been in Milan for only 2 days and I've learnt so much there is a lot of history to all the building and everything is fairly old but it's beautiful. I have had some trouble with home sickness and so I did the thing everyone told me not to do and I skyped my family. But as bad as everyone made it out to be  it made me personally feel better and I didn't even cry ! I do miss everyone and it is hard trying to adapt the language is frustrating because I just want to know what people are saying to me and talking about but I have Italian lessons so hopefully I can speak it soon. They drive on the wrong side of the car and the road and they make there toasties in the toaster but it's all an experience right ? I start school on Thursday so will see how I go then and let you know how I'm going in about a weeks time so talk to you then :)
