week 13

so this week was a normal week with school and everything only I missed Friday to go to sicily with my rotary district and another district. I had so much fun and their were many memorable moments. we left on Friday at 12.30 and flew to Catania in Sicily. Theflight was 2 hours and we arrived at 4pm we then went on a tour to see the  duomo and meet the other Milan district. we had a lot of fun and I met allot of new people they are all so nice and friendly and its amazing how everyone just gets along so well and how different everyone is from one another. we were all very exhausted  but got to our accommodation at about 6.30pm. The place we stayed at was absolutely stunning, it was in the country side on an orange plantation. The view was amazing with the volcano and all the hills and just was nice to see the open land again. and the food was great!! Saturday we went on a boat cruise uring lunch. we had lunch aboard the boat and we got to sale around and see all the beautiful scenery. There was so much to see it all became so real. everyone one, well majority of people got extremely sunburnt ( I was not one of these ) I just became extremely brown and I didn't mind. although the weather was in our favour the entire weekend it became more enjoyable. wethen went and visited some more historic buildings they are all so pretty and have great history. I'm so glad we got to experience it. we got back to the accommodation at about 6.30 again were so tired after a big day but it didn't stop us all from staying up. we have some outbounds join us for the dinner that night and it was great to hear where they would be going and answering the questions that they have about what to expect in foreign countries. we then decided that a swim was a good way to finish the day so to the freezing cold pool we went. and it was an enjoyable moment. everyone seemed to gel really well from the 2 districts. the sunday we were up early and already we were tired as bed time seemed to be at 1.30 am and wake up at 7 so we really never got much sleep but we were all up are ready to go and explore the etna volcano, its the largest active volcano in Europe and we got to be at the top of it. it was amazing, we all froze our asses off but it was well worth it. I wanted to be sunburnt at this point just to keep the warmth:) but we had lunch at the top of the volcano overlooking the sea side and the towns surrounding it was an amazing experience. we then left and went to another town to do a tour and have some free time where me and my friends managed to eat way too much , but the food was soo good!!! CANNOLI AND GELATO AND GRANITE AND OMG so much food and all Sicilian so it had to be tasted sunday we finished a little later and got back at about 7pm and the first thing me being a crazy Australian went and jumped in the pool it was so much fun.. really cold but extremely fun and well worth it.. we had dinner and the accommodation had organised a live dj so we all wnt and danced and had a great time it was another late night but a very good one 3am seemed to be the time to go to bed in which we had to get up at 6 to pack to leave on the Monday so we are all underslept but you know these things happen. Monday before we left for milan we said goodbye to the other district and we went and had a look in a little town on the sea side it was very beautiful and so welcoming. I loved everysecond of this trip and I wouldn't have asked for a better group of people to experience it with. there were some down associated with the weekend like the lack of sleep, people who leave there passports at home, over packing and a kid bringing a knife to the airport for self defence but other then that nothing too serious.  no one went to jail all is sorted. buit over all I really enjoyed myself and the company and I hope you all enjoy the pictures.
