9 weeks in

So this week has been eventful, sad, happy, a bit of everything really. my host family changed again and its definite this time. I have a host brother (18) and a host sister (21) and the family is hosting just for the experience.( I'm not sure if I told you this already) but I also have a cat.
 Things became really hard this week. I finished school on Wednesday because of the Easter holidays, my iPhone 6 got stolen from my bag which made me quite mad and sad but I bought a shitty little phone to last the year. Its a bummer that people take things but I guess I should have been a bit more careful. My host mum bought me a bag that I can keep close to me so that was sweet from her.
I hope everyone had  a good Easter holiday. I went to Pisa and Florence for Easter with my Host Parents and an exchange friend(Tom) we went to the Leaning tower to have a look it is absolutely amazing its so beautiful and felt so real. we tried to get tickets to go up into the tower but the next appointment was to late because we had to catch the train home. but we did go inside the church that was there and that was amazing to. we didn't know that the Duomo of Pisa and the leaning tower were in the same place so that was a bonus. I bought some pins to put on my jacket and some souvenirs. I really wanted my family to be there with me to experience it with me but unfortunately they couldn't be there but they are always in my heart its the thought that counts. later Saturday evening when we got to where we were staying we walked the 10 minutes it took for us to get to the sea side and it was amazing their sea side is so different it was more pebbles and stones then sand and shells like in Australia it was beautiful. we went there at sun set and it reminded me so much of home being the first sunset I have seen since I got here. its so beautiful. I miss home a lot everything seems to remind me of it.
Florence on Sunday was amazing to we spent 5 and a half hours walking around sightseeing and taking pictures. the weather wasn't supposed to be so great but it turned out all blue sky's and a lovely day. I love Florence it is so beautiful there are so many different things to see so it kept us busy. The Duomo is so big we found it hard to get into a picture. we made our own magnum ice-creams and ate them in front of the Duomo it didn't feel real but the experience is amazing. Florence has so much to offer and I also got more pins and things from Florence which will help as reminders, not that its going to be easy to forget its so great will always remember it. we represented Australia in a lot of the pictures by holding the flag up its an amazing thing once you hold the flag up everyone starts talking about you. We met a couple on the train that had a baby boy  from America and were living in Germany . the boy wanted to steal my bag well more just chew on it and play with the zips. He also likes playing peeka-boo which was so cute. There are so many great memories from this weekend. Also snap chatted my older sister in so she could see it with me it was amazing fun. I'm glad there is so much social media that allows us to talk to who ever we want anywhere in the world.

I don't go back to school until the 4th and switch houses on the 9th of April so need to start packing some clothes up and sorting what to send home. so ill talk to you next week. love you all and hope you enjoy the pictures.

2 months 😮

Where has the time gone ! 2 months already gone I'll be home in 10. This week has been a rough one I'm not going to lie. I found out my next host family ( picture with my next host dad below) they are so nice and just friendly but they are vegetarians and so I'm not going to live will be stocking up on some iron tablets they live walking distance to my school and close to everything still this time I have 2 host sisters they are twins and 17 one Sophia and the other Georgia!! We are practically the same person says my next host dad :) her name is Georgia and she plays basketball and so do I and she has blue eyes and so do I so he thinking I'm her. She is in tawain on exchange at the moment. So I'll move to my next host family on the 9th of April as far as I know.

I have been to the police office and waited there for 2 and a half hours this week and so I got to miss a day of school just to get my permit to stay :) as far as I know we are going to swisserland for Easter and so will be skiing and lots of fun stuff for that :) school is good started doing more and more tests but Italian is such a hard language to learn I feel as if I am not getting anywhere with it like I am just still at the same level I was before it's frustrating. I am trying though. 

Went to Como this weekend and stayed there was lovely weather got up to 19 degrees which is great for a change :) not a lot is happening. I have school till Thursday and then holidays for a week and back to school. Week seven

So I've realised I've almost been here 2 months already it feels like 3 weeks. But time is passing. 

I've been quite homesick this past week with a lot of events at home happening and wishing I was there like my sisters school ball and Cindys hens night and everything. People sending me pictures of cousins and I've seen how much they have grown it is scary. But I will get over it :) we had dinner at my host mums sisters house this week and honestly these people have way to much money ! The chandelier in the dining room was massive almost bigger then the table and they have a maid person😳 I had a debate on chips with a few Americans because they call hot chips fries and we call them chips and then they call packet chips chips and we call them chips too and they think we have to call hot chips fries so that we can tell the difference .. But anyways gets a lot more confusing so I'll leave it at that :) I seen the first Australian flag hanging from a building the other day I had to take a picture :) there are so many flags hanging from buildings and this is the first Aussie one :) my Italian is improving still slowly but I can go and ask people in the shop things but some times i swap to English but I'll get there. I have dinner Monday night with rotary to find out my next host family but I think I'm staying with this one for the next swap because they don't have anywhere for me to go as I was told by my tutor. My host mum went to Texas she is visiting her son on exchange in Houston so I'm here with my host brother and host dad.. I'm so sorry dad I know what it must be like living with all girls now that I have lived with just boys. I have a English coming up in Tuesday so that could be interesting because it's literature and I don't know anything about poetry 😂😂 that's all for now :) I just like to say Sheridan you looked stunning at your ball hope you had a great night and I love you :) and hope everyone is staying safe and looking after themselves :) until next week :) love you all . ❤️❤️❤️

Week 6

Hi all 

This week I've been doing quite a few things I've been missing everyone at home a lot but not homesick just talking to a few more people and catching up some pictures and that make me wish I was there but I'm still happy in Milan :) I went skiing with my class in Thursday ahah that was fun 😂😂 I took out a few people on my way down the slope but hey shit happens we all lived :) everyone has a bit more experience with snow then I do which is to be expected. We spent the day at a beautiful mountain it was so much fun and the scenery was amazing :) I went out with the excange students Saturday night and we had a lot of fun as usual :) I also have been to the markets in Milan they are so big and there is so many people like getting from one side to the other of the market nearly took an hour it's was crazy busy. But there is a lot to see and do. Food here gets better :) went to the chemist and got me some more iron tablets .. Because my body is having withdrawals from red meat and white meat and all types of meat ! I passed my first biology test with a 6/10 which I'm proud of considering the test was in Italian :) and have an English test in this upcoming week. Time is flying I mean it's almost Easter time already !! What's going on .. Stay safe and I'll blog again next week :) Love you all <3
